Hello and welcome to my art blog Paint Chips. My name is Charlii Jean I was born in and still live in Southern California. I have been creative all of my life and worked as a graphic designer for many years. Since 2001 I have worked off and on in graphic design and I am currently learning Website Development. I draw, paint, write, sing and dance. Some I do better than others, all I enjoy doing.
I believe all people are creative by nature and that creativity is a gift from God. Creative expression was given to us to not only display our inner most souls, but to connect with and heal other souls. It is my hope that you not only enjoy my musings, but that you are inspired to create your own.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then I must have a lot to say. Or is it not what I want to say but what you need to hear. That is the beauty of art, one photograph, one painting or one sculpture speaks a different thousand words to each of us. Art speaks the universal language in our own dialect. There is freedom in art and it is alive. Art is life and life rules.
This is my "sketch" book and I share it with you.
