Flower Girl (Photoshop)

 

It's 3am and I can't sleep, so what is a person to do? Play around in Photoshop and watch YouTube videos on Photoshop effects. Here is the fruit of my labor or at least the last hour of my life.

I first drew this piggy bank back in 2008 for IF the subject was save and I thought it was time he reached his goals.

It's a little bizarre and I have no clue what the point is but it just made sense at the time. I wanted to use spiderwebs and guitar strings and this is the result.

In the eye of Hoge

In keeping with today's outer space theme I am paying homage to the astronomers, astronauts and the plain curious. The iris of the eye is a rendition of Hoge's Object which is a galaxy far far away. So here's to George Lucas, Steven Spielberg and Capitan Kirk too.

Rain Drop Tease

I love the rain and unfortunately for me we don't get enough it. As our rain season, if you can call it that, comes to an end I wanted to do something that can remind of the rain. This was an idea I pulled from an old sketch book from 3 or 4 years ago. In the sketch it was just circles and think making the sunflower viewed through water drops was a much better choice. I also love the way the cropping of the flower came out it's kind of like a little tease.

Turkey Shoot (Thanksgiving)

I think I was feeling just a little cynical this week. And I really didn't want to make another pilgrim eating turkey picture. There are a few "turkeys" I would like to shoot in the ass and I was feeling some hostility towards them. Then I got to thinking that if I was a turkey I would try to hide so I wouldn't become dinner. Well turkeys are not known for being the smartest fowl around and that combined with my hostile cynicism created this.

On a serious note there is a lot to be thankful for and Thanksgiving is really the time to stop and ponder them. No matter how small it may seem. Sometimes, most of the times it is the small thing that is the most significant and what makes or breaks the day. I think it is human nature to focus on the one major thing that went wrong and not take notice of all the small things that go right, part of the mortal coil I guess. So on this day and everyday take extra notice of all the little things that are right and good in your life. I guarantee they will out weigh anything else. Happy Thanksgiving and pass the cranberry sauce.
